Grace Christian Academy Job Posting: Elementary Teaching Position

Grace Christian Academy is a Christ-centered, Bible-based, Discipleship-driven 4K-12 Christian School that seeks to disciple students towards leaving a legacy of walking with Christ, producing wisdom, stature, and favor with God and man.  We are currently seeking a dynamic educator that is willing to serve across multiple grade levels of 4K-6 elementary children.  This is an exciting opportunity to work in a setting that grows and strengthens your ability to teach multi-age, multi-level groups of children.  We operate small classroom sizes (12 students maximum) with a one-room schoolhouse approach that intertwines faith, academics, and social development across the ages.  Our students work extremely hard and are held to very high expectations regarding both academic achievement and character development from a biblical worldview.  Qualified candidates need to have a love for the Lord, a desire to faithfully educate and discipleship children in God’s Word, and a professional mindset towards academic growth and development for the student, the family, and the educator. 

General Expectations:

• Embody and demonstrate a loving, Christ-like character and ensure that students exhibit the same values.
• Participation and interaction in regular staff collaboration/prayer meetings.
• Agree to comply at all times with our Covenant Contract and policies in Parent-Student & Staff Handbooks. 
• Strong organization, planning, and time management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
• Being open to biblically discipleship teens (7-12th grades) is also advantageous in this position.

Educator Responsibilities:  

• Set and hold students to high academic standards and virtuous behaviors.
• Preparation and delivery of lessons/activities in assigned content areas.
• Accurate record-keeping and regular reporting to parents and administration when requested.
• Develop a positive, achievement-oriented, and structured learning environment.
• Set and reinforce clear expectations and routines that align to school-wide values and policies.
• Continually improve teaching skills by seeking out constructive feedback and professional development opportunities.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested by school leaders.
